Officers from #LPT3 attended a 999 call on #PrincesRoad where a vehicle had drove into a traffic light pole causing it to flip. A #DrugWipe test was completed on the driver and they were arrested for drug driving offences as the test returned back positive. - CK

Our Roads Policing Unit in Longford recently stopped this vehicle for driving erratically and without headlights on.

In a roadside DrugWipe test, the driver tested positive for cocaine, opiates, methamphetamine, amphetamine and benzos. The driver was arrested.

Thanks to the member of the public who called us on 999 about a suspected impaired driver they were following. We caught up with the vehicle, conducted a breath test, Drugwipe, eyesight test and impairment test before arresting the driver for driving whilst unfit through alcohol.

Vehicle stopped in the Haydock Area of St Helens for an insecure load & defective indicators. Driver is a regular Cannabis user and despite this chose to risk everyone else's safety by driving around. #Drugwipe test conducted which provided a positive result. Driver #arrested .

The driver failed to negotiate the roundabout.

Things only deteriorated for the driver when he failed the DrugWipe for Cannabis.

Arrested and a blood sample taken.

Driver reported to PF.

Male arrested this afternoon, following a stop check at Penblewin, for providing a positive drugwipe for cannabis.

He has since been released under investigation, pending analysis of his blood samples.
