Today the House approved my amendment to the #FY23NDAA to raise the cap on the TransportationGov Federal Transit Admn TransportationGovFHWA DBE program so more minority and women owned businesses can qualify for and take advantage of the historic infrastructure funding.

✅ Authorizes $14 million for SC-06 community projects

The Senate defense bill takes a swipe at Pentagon efforts to root out extremism, saying the numbers don't justify a DoD-wide effort and that it 'should be discontinued...immediately.'

The report language was approved a 14-12 vote. Independent Angus King was the deciding vote.
