The DST has agreed to revise the emoluments of research personnel and has raised it by 20% that's an affirmative action in favor of protesting students for #Hikeinfellowship60

But

Increasing Non-Net fellowship is a significant issue and must be taken with utmost seriousness.

From 5000 in 1999 to 37k in 2023, it is approximately 8.70% CAGR. If you calculate the Inflation rate then it would be 22,683 in 2023. Still we have 14k extra in our pockets.

What should be our main concern?
