Plenty of bumbles and damselflies. But I was rather upset to find no solitary bees and hardly any hoverflies. Lack of flower-rich habitat and expansion of forestry (on bog!!) are likely causes.

Did hear a cuckoo though across the bog which is always a delight

Feeding the hoverflies now so their larvae can feed on insect pests later. Seems a fair deal!
