Crossing arch to chancel .

This is very early Early English. Primitive in construction and the geometry isn't quite right. Visually it almost looks 4-centred although it isn't

Can anyone throw any light on the iconography of this fine Byzantine (?) relief in the Museum in Ancient Corinth? Often labelled 'Lion Eating Grapes' (though I did wonder if they were dates). Any info. welcome. The Byzantine Legacy Angela O'Brien

Lovely aumbry and piscina pairing. South wall of the chancel

And no. This is as found. No sneaky set dressing by the Mouse on this one. Who would even suggest such a thing!

For years I have been passing Beeston St Lawrence church. It sits distinctively on the A1151 heading north out of Wroxham. I finally got to visit it recently. It did not disappoint. Faboulous Saxon tower and lovely Georgian ceiling. But attrocious accoustics.

The Garden Triclinium. Its function is still not clear but might be connected to the huge cistern next to it, with an 8m high stone wall, was one of the biggest cisterns in , dated to 2nd-3rd quarter of 1st Century.
