A combination of frustration and ennui. But the self-seeded borage I just found in the garden( ‘borrajas’) sautéed with garlic and made into a revuelto (scrambled eggs) is my best hope.

Borage and buddleia growing as pavement plants. It makes me sad when people complain about 'weeds' growing at the edge of pavements. Why would you want bare tarmac or concrete instead of plants? Even worse is when they're sprayed with herbicide, leaving their sad, dead remains.

There was a time not long ago that I'd have walked a mile over hot coals for access to a scruffy 50acre borage field.

But those days are gone. The game's changed. We've got access to c1000acres but with the depressed honey market, inflationary pressures, it's just not worth it.
