T.S. Eliot wrote that “Genuine poetry can communicate before it’s understood.” I’m not sure that I can yet fully comprehend the long lasting impacts of tonight’s CCSSO #teachertalks showcase, but I do know that tonight was poetry. Thank you, #NTOY23 #INTOY24 #livetolearn
Such a great day with Smithsonian Education ! Thank you for the wealth of knowledge and resources you provided the #NTOY24 cohort. I can’t wait to bring them back to my students and colleagues. #livetolearn #INTOY24 CCSSO IN Dept of Education
Thank you, Jahana Hayes for your words of wisdom today. Your story touched all of us #ntoy24 . In particular, you said that educators need to define this profession, and we shouldn’t let others define it for us. I carried that with me today. CCSSO #INTOY24 #livetolearn
Thank you Jim Risch and staff for meeting with me today to talk about education and rural Idaho. #CCSSO #NTOY24 #Education #WashingtonWeek
We finished our day with CCSSO and state teachers of the year with a wide range of breakout sessions at 10 Smithsonian museums. Teachers explored hands-on activities, shared their stories, and even created art in the galleries. #NTOY24 #SmithsonianEdu
This morning, we were proud to host CCSSO at the Smithsonian's Anacostia Community Museum—visiting “A Bold and Beautiful Vision: A Century of Black Arts Education in Washington, DC, 1900-2000” exhibition, learning about urban environmentalism, and writing postcards #NTOY24 #SmithsonianEdu
