Some labels free us, legitimising our right to help, shepherding us to explanation.

Others harm.

man I’m fucking sick of having this misdiagnosed EUPD diagnosis on my records. glad the psychiatrist down here said they may look into CPSTD but it feels awful having something on your record that is not only wrong, but harmful. :(

The diagnosis of BPD/EUPD literally feels like one saying “I’m glad you where abused” sorry but that’s how it’s felt for years for me. That what happened to me as a child was accepted that one’s view of it being there fault was TRUE.

I think clinicians sometimes don't realise how the norms of the diagnostic process suddenly disappear often when it comes to BPD. It gets stuck on quickly and, once on, is gluey as f.

I think also the diagnosis of BPD/EUPD was and still is a way that survivors have to be accountable for there own trauma and that recourses / funding are not to play a part in one’s journey to healing but as always for one to be left aside and told to fend for themselves

Dr Jay Watts I’m curious to know why nhs are so reluctant to diagnose PTSD/CPTSD, but I’m guessing it’s because they won’t/can’t offer the appropriate treatment. I’m needing help with my trauma. Instead they slapped EUPD on my records without telling me, labelled & blamed me & sent me away.

I blame eupd for all the abuse so hearing it next to your name and its stigma and the words around it just to make out like your the problem and not them, like your making it all up and they can do what they want to you. The records about me no wonder no where will take me

Met someone else on my evening out last night who has BPD / EUPD . So refreshing to talk to another person who suffers & she literally experiences the same as me & acts the same. It was like a hug honestly

I just had my EUPD removed from my medical notes by my new medical practice. The doctor was aware of the autism scandal sweeping our nation, and displayed real empathy. Doctors like this give me renewed trust in the medical establishment.

Tell me about it. I am about to go through an Autism and ADHD assessment that will likely take 7 hours in total whereas my EUPD diagnosis took maximum 30 minutes where I was mostly mute🤦‍♀️ Like what the actual fuck🤷‍♀️

my former consultant psychiatrist at CMHT took at least 15 x 45 minute sessions before giving me a working diagnosis of #schizoaffective disorder and scraped #EUPD off my files. but only took one inconsiderate doctor of 30 minutes chat with me to put EUPD back on again. 😤

classic issue with an EUPD label that never goes away once diagnosed. and no one is ever willing to review the credibility of it.
