My hips are so rebellious. These will make you weep.
Here are a couple of exercises I use to target them.

I was asked for a seated hip flexor stretch and I found this one. I prefer the kneeling or standing ones but I appreciate that those options may not work for everyone. I hope this helps.

Sitting shortens our hip flexors but it also doesn’t do anything to strengthen our hip flexors. Ease in to this one. In fact just start with one leg straight in front of you and raise it off the floor. This is harder than it looks.

Say goodbye to tight hip flexors with this simple self-massage technique! Find your belly button and go two inches over and down to target your psoas muscle. Let the ball do the work for a more relaxed, flexible body.

The answer is both.

Strengthen AND stretch your hip flexors. One at the neglect of the other will never offer the full athletic and bulletproofing potential!

A simpler tip than trying to do these stretches (although crack on if it makes you happy), is to simply stand up frequently throughout the day. Move little and often. So simple but it works when done consistently!
