We’re delighted to welcome 3 new members to our team.They will be providing virtual support to children with a #parentinprison in their communities,includes 1-1 & group work support. Here are some of the areas of the referrals received in the past month whom they’ll be supporting
‘Autumn has come, the wind is gusting, and Leaf Man is on the move'
In an online craft group this week children with a #parentinprison created their own leaf people & animals inspired by the story they heard
We were ‘blown away’ with what they created!
During this weeks 'What about me?' group for carers of children and young people with a #parentinprison we explored the physical responses to stress & trauma - building coping strategies through meditation & mindfulness equips us for when anxiety holds on tight within our bodies
During an online 1:1 session a young girl with a #parentinprison picked her winning team! This strengths based approach helps children to focus on who their support network is & reinforces how it's ok to let others help you in becoming more resilient, thrive & achieve their goals
As we 'wrap up' our online groups until after Christmas, some of the younger children we support with a #parentinprison created these wonderful night lights, all ready for Santa to see his way. Encouraging children to meet others in similar situations creates a sense of belonging
