An intravenous catheter is an indispensable tool for injecting medicines and blood products to a wounded person. The size of catheters can be identified by their color coding. Learn more about it on the card, created in partnership with PULSE.

Brain Injury Associated Shock (aka BIAS) - Haemodynamic compromise from isolated severe TBI is rare & in our services experience, indistinguishable from haemorrhagic shock in sick multi-trauma patients.

Good chat re: opiate-sparing prehospital analgesia at Retrieval 2024.

Reminder that is a great option and is used around the world. Sadly not available in the US.

Hoping the U.S. FDA approves ASAP - our patients in pain (and clinicians!) would appreciate it!

Great discussion happening now! Look at the line of questions! Does prehospital whole blood cause unnecessary delay in transport? Sharven Taghavi, MD, MPH, MS, FACS, FCCP may have some thoughts
