This #MosaicMonday we're watching a #Maenad refuse a satyr's invitation to the dance. She knows where dancing with satyrs leads, and she's not interested. This detail from a huge #mosaic comes from near #Rome down the #ViaAppia , and was installed in the #VaticanMuseums in 1817.
