Deepdale Farm monitoring - spring migrants slowly drift in against the constant cold Northerly winds - 17 birds, summer migrants were 2 Blackcap, 2 Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat and 6 Chiffchaffs, of which two birds were here in 2022. BTO Deepdale Farm North Norfolk Coastal Group

Thermal work last at night Sculthrope was thwarted by being a lake more than a wet meadow. Six Woodcock seen, one missed, and a Meadow Pipit ringed was the only bird, along with two wet feet Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve
North Norfolk farm land monitoring, 37 birds, 17 Reed Buntings and 2 Yellowhammers in crop AB11. One control Reed Bunting, origins unknow ringed August 23 as a juvenile. 10 thermalling Buzzards NorfolkFWAG
Interesting to Woodcock #Woodcock density in a wet meadow as compared to arable fields - at least 9 birds seen, 3 ringed. Also 2 Tawny Owls, one of which was ringed in 2014 and this was her first re-sighting. Hawk and Owl Trust BTO Thermal 4 Birding - Simpson Brothers Outdoors

Another quite visit to a NW Norfolk farm, 36 birds, with no winter Buntings or Finches, but a male Kestrel. A small flock Finches still present though. Farm has an nice Grey Partridge population using the winter bird crop. BTO NorfolkFWAG Sandringham
