We had a wonderful day filming our curlews with the wonderful HANNAH THOMAS . Luckily the birds did not disappoint, neither did the weather, but an arrogant man walking through the breeding territory did, despite being asked to stay away Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Landscape Bethan Beech

Happy #WorldCurlewDay 🤎 this bird is one of my favs, with its many shades and its lilting, bubbling, joyous call. It was an honour to be one of the judges of the Curlew Action poetry competition for today, I STRUGGLED yall are too talented, but my god I enjoyed reading them🙏🏽

Spending the afternoon out monitoring some of Wiltshire's last breeding Curlew as part of #WorldCurlewDay ; also enjoyimg some lovely weather. Sadly Curlew numbers across the county have crashed by around 90% in just a few decades. We are hard to try and save them.

It's the day of the curved billed lads! #WorldCurlewDay and where would we be without the likes of Mary Colwell Curlew Action @kanebrides Wader Quest BTO and myriad others looking out for our rapidly declining Curlews. You're all superheroes!
