What a great ☀️ day #birding with my GOWEROS1 family RSPB Ham Wall near Glastonbury: We saw 66 species of birds in 6 hours! Inc. my first swifts of the summer, glossy ibis, grey heron, buzzards, marsh harriers, great white egrets, hobby, kingfisher, lapwings, cormorants… 🐦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️

Managed to connect with the Whiteford Golden Oriole shortly after first light this morning. The bird spent a lot of time in cover, and looked distinctly unimpressed with the cold winds and driving rain of south Wales! GOWEROS1

Margam moors today 4 Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Grasshopper Warbler, 9 Sedge, 1 Reed, 15 Blackcap, 1 Redstart, 25 Chiffchaff, 20 Willow Warbler, 5 Whitethroat, 40 Swallow & 6 Sand martin West. Off Kenfig river M. 1 Manx , 2 Arctic Skua, 18 C Scoter -plus 2 Foxes squeaked in GOS
