Today is #WorldPressFreedomDay . Medill honors all journalists who work tirelessly to share the truth and tell impactful stories. We recently hosted a symposium featuring panels of journalists from around the world who discussed the foundations of journalistic safety and freedom.

Congratulations to MSJ students haajrah👩🏽‍💻, Juliann Ventura and Meaghan Downey for winning scholarships from the White House Correspondents' Association. They recently attended the annual WHCA luncheon and dinner where they were recognized as scholarship winners.

This weekend I attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner with my Northwestern Medill classmates haajrah👩🏽‍💻, Juliann Ventura and the other WHCA scholarship recipients. It was a wonderful experience to be in the same room as journalists I have long looked up to.
