As we celebrated #DeltaSigmaTheta Day at the PA State Capitol.

It was a very productive week in Harrisburg for the Human Services Committee! Monday, we moved four pieces of legislation out of our committee, and Wednesday, we got to hear from the PA Office of Developmental Programs.

Pleased to hear that State Police Troop K in southeast PA will be using body-worn cameras, which can help bring transparency to police-community relations. Now, we must move my bill to direct departments using them to develop policies for their usage. pahouse.com/Kinsey/InTheNe…

When folks go to a polling place exercising their right to vote, they deserve to do so in peace. We must curb voter intimidation at polling places and ensure those affected by it can receive justice. My bill would do both, but first, it needs to pass the House!

Black women are nearly 3x more likely to die from pregnancy-related issues than white women. I proudly joined my colleagues from the PA Black Maternal Health Caucus to bring attention to the disparities Black mothers face during the birthing process and the need to immediately address them.

Tomorrow is the last day you can apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot for the April 23 Primary Election. Visit vote.pa.gov/ApplyMailBallot to apply for a ballot.
