Managed to locate the Pugneys long tailed duck again. Also goldcrest year ✅ and the usuals!

This young lass was rescued yesterday from Pugneys Country Park by a kind member of the public. It is likely the bird had a flying accident, given she has ruptured a number of air sacs.

The fields between Sandal Castle and #Pugneys are doing their usual flood plain bit. It's higher than we've ever seen it. The beck, tarmac path and Castle Farm field are all one body of water in places. 🫤☔️

A call from the rangers at Pugneys Country Park, resulted in the rescue of this swan on Tuesday. The bird was reported as being unable to walk, but is now receiving daily treatment for an infected leg wound and responding well in our care.
