We are currently in the Bransfield Strait 🇦🇶 in the search for Antarctic krill 🦐. The whales found them before us but we are now mapping a big swarm using the onboard acoustics. Excited about the prospect of target fishing later on. #RRSSirDavidAttenborough #SDAScience

At the end of the visit to the #RRSSirDavidAttenborough , the Base commander the 28th expedition, Bohdan Havryliuk, presented the captain of the ship, Ralph Stevenson, with a legendary stamp featuring the sinking of the cruiser 'Moscow'. The British team was very pleased.
Yesterday the #RRSSirDavidAttenborough made a stop near the #Vernadsky Station. This newly built powerful British icebreaker replaced the #RRSJamesClarkRoss (now the #Noosfera ) and it's on its second Antarctic season.
In response, our polar explorers were invited to the #RRSSirDavidAttenborough
