We’re seeing catastrophic levels of malnutrition in Sudan. Over 8.4 million people have fled their home since April 2023. The United Nations has estimated that 13,900 people have been killed since the war began. Although this is likely an underestimate.

In Sudan, many die due to violence related injuries and preventable illnesses.
Children die due to malnutrition.
Women die because of complications during pregnancy/childbirth.
Patients with chronic diseases die because they are running out of medication.

After a year of fighting in #Sudan , the humanitarian response is still inadequate. Tomorrow morning, MSF International will give an overview & describe how international neglect & political obstructions have led to people in #Sudan being cut off from health care for 1 year. #TalkAboutSudanMSF

Without these three vital commitments, a humanitarian response on the scale required to prevent this colossal crisis from deteriorating further will not be possible.
