A Spoonbill at Branston GP's was a nice find by Stewart Blowers this morning. It moved between Ashy pit & BM Pit before going missing. Later relocated back on BM pit before flying towards Sandy pit at 2.30pm. The Water Pipit was on the field adj. to Newbold pit. Staffs Bird News

Spoonbill flew over and around Filey Dams a few times this morning but refused to land.

Another great bird to see this afternoon from North hide RSPB Minsmere 🌍 A single Spoonbill dropped in for a feed. It managed to pull out a fish ( in third photo) from the west scrape, then spent a few minutes trying to subdue it before swallowing. Their beaks are amazing colours.

At the risk of sounding repetitive, the Glossy Ibis hung around at Gib for another day, enduring the 40mph winds like the rest of the locals. It allowed for better views today, given some patience. Some other good birds included Spoonbill, Woodcock, Water Pipit and 2 Med Gulls.
