FAO in Somalia Representative, Etienne Peterschmitt, convened with Minister of Agricultural Development in Puntland, HE M. Abdikadir Mohamed Donyale, to explore #collaborative avenues for bolstering resilience against #climate shocks & advancing #agrifoodsystems transformation.
FAO in Somalia Representative, Etienne Peterschmitt, paid a courtesy visit to the Information Management Centre for Water and Land Resources in Puntland, Information Management Center - Puntland.
This centre is the tangible result of SWALIM's efforts to transfer its functions to the #Somali Institutions.
Hon. Mohamed Farole had a high-level meeting with Etienne Peterschmitt head of FAO in Somalia; Officials discussed ministry priorities, status of the ongoing projects, and the ways to make the upcoming projects more localized & planned accordingly with #SDG13
The Groundwater Access Facility (GaFa), a groundbreaking initiative led by UN Development & partners, including Food and Agriculture Organization, is being launched.
This project tackles water scarcity in the Horn of Africa through innovative collaboration.
